40 cats rescued from neglect in Hillsdale; 2 arrested

A Westchester animal shelter has stepped in to care for 40 cats rescued from a home in Hillsdale, where two women were arrested on animal cruelty charges.

According to state police, the women neglected the cats, resulting in the deaths of two of the animals.

Animal Nation of Westchester, a nonprofit organization, has volunteered to care for the cats at their shelter.
