Five businesses on White Plains Road were damaged by a second-alarm fire Tuesday night.
Investigators say the blaze broke out at a beauty shop on the corner. Firefighters say they were able to contain most of the flames to the beauty shop, but the neighboring establishments suffered severe damage.
?Business is not that great right now, and for this to happen, it's double trouble,? says restaurant owner Allen Mohamad, whose business was ravaged by the blaze.
No one was injured in the fire, but the owners of the affected stores say they are devastated and will be meeting with insurance adjustors. Most say they lost thousands of dollars in damage, not to mention loss of business for the next several days.
According to authorities, they do not yet know what caused the fire.
