$5M in funding awarded to homeless housing project in Newburgh

A homeless housing project in Newburgh is getting a huge lift financially.
Nearly $5 million in funding is on the way to support the project according to the Regional Economic Community Action Program (RECAP).
RECAP – a nonprofit -- says the money will allow plans to be moved forward for fresh start apartments.
The project will feature 11 units with safe shelter and support for those in need. \
Construction is scheduled to begin in November and be complete in the fall of 2025.
