Six people are dead, and 7 others were injured when flames erupted inside a Sunset Park home early Thursday morning.

FDNY say the flames broke out just before 1:40 a.m. inside 653 58th St.

Flames spread to all floors of the home. Video caught on Citizen shows the home completely engulfed as FDNY crews battled the flames.

At 1:46 a.m. the fire escalated to a two-alarm fire extending to the building next door. At 2:10 a.m., the fire was then a three-alarm fire. Around 231 fire and EMS crews responded to the scene.

Four people have been confirmed to have died from their injuries on the scene. Two people were taken in critical condition to the hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. Two people sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A total of 5 others, including three firefighters, sustained minor injuries.

The Department of Buildings and the Red Cross were also called to the scene. Hazmat was also requested after the presence of lithium-ion batteries was found.

FDNY says that the main body of the fire was knocked down just before 2:40 a.m. FDNY crews are still operating.

At this time, there are no ages for the victims. An investigation on what caused the fire is underway.

The FDNY will be having a presser with further updates.
