A new study shows just how unsafe the roads can be for roadside emergency workers.

AAA says 124 workers were killed in crashes on the job from 2015 to 2021.

Most crashes occurred in 55 mph or higher speed zones in good weather.

AAA emphasizes the importance of moving over and slowing down when passing roadside workers.

There was at least one roadside assistance death every two weeks in 2021. It's challenging to track because they are reported as pedestrian deaths.
