A proposal for affordable senior housing in White Plains took a major step forward with approval from the city's Common Council.
The plan includes 141 studio and one-bedroom rental units on Court Street for low-income residents ages 55 and older.
The project will also house the new headquarters for The LOFT, an LGBTQ+ community center, according to city officials.
