AKC: French bulldog most popular dog in US
The AKC says the Frenchie has been climbing the charts for many years. It was 14th most popular in 2013 and finally reached No. 1 in in 2022.

Move over Labrador retriever - the French bulldog is the new top dog in town, according to the American Kennel Club.
The organization says the lab, which has spent the last 31 years at the top of the most popular list, is now No. 2.
It says the Frenchie has been climbing the charts for many years. It was the 14th most popular dog in 2013 and finally reached No. 1 in in 2022.
Rounding up the top five of most popular dogs are the Golden retriever, the German Shephard and the poodle.
