A Newburgh man who allegedly killed his neighbor exclusively told News 12 "there's nothing I can do to fix what I did."
Peter Dunne, 21, apologized to the family of 45-year-old LuLumae Stewart in comments to News 12, saying "I'm so sorry."
Police say Stewart's body was found Tuesday in her Hy Vue Drive apartment. Dunne was arraigned in Newburgh Town Court Wednesday after being charged with second-degree murder late Tuesday.
Police say there's evidence and stolen property linking Dunne to the murder.
