Sloatsburg's alleged "party mom" is considering a new plea bargain that could put her behind bars for two years in county prison.
Beth Modica, 44, has been accused of engaging in sexual acts with two teenage boys at drug and alcohol-fueled parties over the summer. The new deal comes on the heels of a previous offer calling for the former Rockland prosecutor to spend between one and three years in a state prison for rape and criminal sex charges.
In addition to the two-year sentence, Modica would be required to serve 10 years of probation and register as a sex offender. The deal, however, would allow her to stay closer to her children than the previous state prison offer.
The accused party mom's attorney says both options are being evaluated. According to the attorney, Modica is considering how the plea deals and press attention would affect her family.
"She's very, very emotionally concerned about the whole ramification of everything," says attorney Gerard Damiani.
