Season two of the Gilded Age is now streaming, and what you might not know is that the horses and carriages in the show are from Connecticut.
Allegra Farm is home to the Horse Drawn Carriage and Sleigh Museum of New England.
John Allegra from Allegra Farm has been in the horse drawn livery business for over 50 years. He says visitors can come to the farm for a ride, step back in time and enjoy the scenery and ambiance.
For the Gilded Age show, John says they had up to 23 carriages at one time going on.
"I watched that show and all those carriages are pulling up in front of the mansions and the horses are going, and it just puts a chill down my spine," he says.
Allegra Farm offers horse-drawn carriage and sleigh rides for all visitors who make a reservation. Click here to learn more.
