An Allentown man has died following a two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle near a shopping center in Mercer County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Hamilton police, officers responded to the intersection of Whitehorse-Mercerville Road and Kuser Road at about 2:39 p.m. Sept. 15 for a report of a crash.

Investigators say a 2003 GMC pickup truck driven by Joseph Kelemen of Hamilton Township was exiting a shopping center parking lot near Starbucks Coffee Company when it collided with a 1997 Yamaha motorcycle traveling northbound on Whitehorse-Mercerville Road.

The motorcyclist, identified as Justin Morell of Allentown, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Kelemen did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The Hamilton Fire Division and emergency medical personnel responded to assist at the scene. Police temporarily closed Whitehorse-Mercerville Road between Kuser Road and South Olden Avenue to conduct a preliminary investigation and clear emergency operations.

The crash remains under active investigation by the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit.
