A total of 9,274 people took part in early voting in the Rockland County and 2,369 absentee ballots were submitted as of Monday morning.

News 12 learned the figures through a Freedom of Information Act request.

The Board of Elections saw more early voters this year compared to similar local elections in past years. There were 6,839 early Rockland County voters in 2019 and 5,407 in 2021.

Polls will be open in Rockland on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
