Staff members at Andalusia School in Yonkers are striking in protest of the school’s principal’s firing.
News 12 is told teachers and parents are upset over the firing of Brother Abdel Nasser Nofal.
Nofal was dismissed last night following a dispute with the Board of Trustees.
Teachers were informed they would be fired if they did not return to work.
Parents supporting the strike say they plan to keep their kids out of school until Nofal is reinstated.
News 12 reached out to the Andalusia School for comment but has yet to hear back.
The private school is located on Walnut Street and has nearly 300 attendees from kindergarten to 12th grade.
