Another bear was spotted today prowling the streets of Nyack.
The male black bear cub was located in a tree behind the garages of the Department of Public Works. Police say he was initially spotted by Route 59 and Route 9W in Nyack.
Department of Environmental Conservation officials say the bear was tranquilized and safely removed and will undergo observation tonight before being released in a preserve in Ulster County.
Officials say a similar bear was spotted in Upper Nyack last week. There is no word yet if it's the same bear.
