A flood watch is in effect across the Hudson Valley after torrential rains washed over the region Monday.
An eastbound portion of Route 59 in Nyack became flooded after the rain began overnight, creating a traffic nightmare for drivers.
Overnight rain also caused low-lying rivers and creeks to overflow. The storm is expected to bring several more inches of rain and high winds and isn't expected to stop until Wednesday.
