Arrest made in Flatlands attack on teen grabbing pizza near school
According to police, the suspect is 35-year-old Chaddane Knox of Bergen Beach. Investigators say the incident happened last Wednesday on Glenwood Road, across the street from the girl’s school.

Police say a man caught on surveillance video randomly attacking a teenage girl in Flatlands has been arrested.
According to police, the suspect is 35-year-old Chaddane Knox, of Bergen Beach. Investigators say the incident happened last Wednesday on Glenwood Road, across the street from the girl’s school.
The 16-year-old’s mother, Toshane Thompson, says her daughter was grabbing a slice of pizza after track practice when the man kicked her without warning, knocking her to the ground.

“I would never really expect something like this to happen, especially if you see somebody and they’re in their school uniform,” said Thompson. “They’re not adults, you know, they’re kids. So why would you even think about trying to assault a kid just like that for no reason?”
The teen’s mother told News 12 her daughter suffered minor injuries but was left shaken by the incident.
Knox is charged with menacing, assault and harassment, police said.
