Unemployment in the Bronx is the highest in New York state, but dozens of business owners met Wednesday in hopes of bringing the number down.
At Villa Barone Manor, more than 100 business owners gathered to say the Bronx is up-and-coming in terms of small, local businesses.
The aim of the gathering was to allow those interested in working with small businesses to introduce themselves and network with one another, according to organizers.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was in attendance to support the cause.
It is the event's sixth year.
