Sex abuse charges against a state trooper from July 2022 have now been dropped, the trooper’s attorney told News 12.
Matthew Stivala, 32, was facing charges stemming from multiple incidents involving him and the alleged victim.
The charges were brought in the Town of Woodbury and the Town of Harriman.
Stivala’s attorney says the Town of Woodbury granted an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal last month if Stivala stays out of trouble for six months.
