The new rule comes after an incident last August when an ATV hit a Yorktown man at Hunter Brook Field.

ATVs are now banned from public property in Yorktown.
The new rule comes after an incident last August when an ATV hit a Yorktown man at Hunter Brook Field.
In addition to ATVs, Jeeps, 4x4s and trucks are also banned from town park trails.
Violators face a $500 fine for the first offense and up to $1,000 for repeat violations.
