Authorities: 1-year-old and mother recovering from injuries after fire in Pomona
A family from Pomona is recovering from injuries suffered after a fire tore through their home Saturday night.
Fire officials say a 1-year-old was sleeping in the basement when it happened. The child suffered third-degree burns to her face but is expected to make a full recovery.
She was rescued by her mother who suffered burns to her arms, stomach and face. The mother was originally listed in serious condition at Westchester Medical Center and is now in stable condition.
A GoFundMe has been started on the family's behalf.
