Authorities announce arrest in 2019 Middletown homicide

Authorities announced Friday that an arrest was made in a 2019 homicide in that occurred in the City of Middletown.
Dijion D. Constantine, of the Bronx, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Sebastian Avilan-Medina, of Middletown.
Avilan-Medina was found fatally shot in his home on Knapp Avenue in March 2019.
Since then, the Middletown Police Department spent over five years pursuing hundreds of leads.
Investigators from the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets task force, the New York State Police Department and officers from the New York State Division of Parole assisted in the arrest of 23-year-old Constantine.
Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler says, "while the investigation is ongoing, today marks an important step forward.
