The Purchase Fire Department responded to a car crash that injured multiple people on Saturday.

The fire department, along with Harrison EMS, were sent to Westchester Avenue and Kenilworth Road just after noon.

They found a two-vehicle crash on the eastbound side of Westchester Avenue that was so severe, someone needed to be extracted from the car.

Units were able to stabilize the vehicle and remove the driver's side door on one of the vehicles.

The passengers were taken to nearby hospitals. There is no word yet on their condition.
