A registered sex offender was indicted Thursday for having sex with a 15-year-old in Orange County, authorities say.

Curtis Ellington, 33, was arrested in Kansas in April, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

He was arraigned in federal court in White Plains.

Authorities say Ellington slept at the teen's home in April.

He was originally convicted of rape in Orange County in 2007 and sentenced to seven years in prison.
