yesterdayA Bedford Hills family, who had been away for several days, returned to find their home burglarized.
Police say the break-in happened in the vicinity of Bedford Center Road in Bedford Hills between Dec. 5 and Dec. 9.
The homeowners discovered the crime on Saturday.
Police say the perpetrator forcibly entered the residence by kicking in the front door, and then thoroughly ransacked and rummaged through every room within the house, from the basement to the attic.
The homeowners are compiling an inventory to determine the extent of missing or stolen items resulting from the burglary.
