Blues Traveler will headline the 914Cares benefit concert tonight at the Capitol Theatre, accruing to organizers.
The Armonk-based nonprofit, which provides essentials like diapers and clothes to families in poverty, aims to raise awareness. "To reach the entire community we figured this was a great opportunity for us," said Joelle Anderson of 914Cares. Lisa Horten added, "We're not solving poverty ... we're hopefully, put a stop gap on it for some people."
The organization is set to deliver 1 million diapers and 6,000 bags of clothes to those in need.
Tickets are still available, and a raffle offers five attendees a meet-and-greet with the band. More details,
