Special education students were sent home early today from the Orange-Ulster BOCES facility after a bomb threat was phoned in before 9 a.m. this morning.
The facility is located on Gibson Road in Goshen, and about 700 students were turned around and sent home after the threat was received. Police say they did not believe the threat was credible, but sent two K-9 units to the campus as a precaution.
No students were inside when the call came in, which allowed police to keep students outside as they were arriving so they could do a full sweep of the building. The nearby vocational technology center on campus was on lockdown during the threat and following the police search.
