A debate between Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Westchester County Executive George Latimer on Wednesday didn't go as planned when a spokesperson for Latimer said the executive couldn't go because he had fallen ill.
The two men are vying for the Democratic party's nod in the election for New York's 16th Congressional District.
Despite the absence of his opponent, Bowman spoke to over 100 residents, addressing issues like health care, public safety and equal opportunities for New Yorkers.
