Brentwood man critically injured in 2-vehicle crash in St. James

A man had to be extricated from his car after crashing with a Jeep Sunday evening.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Brentwood, collided with another vehicle around 5:30 p.m.
He was making a left turn on Middle Country Road in St. James, Suffolk police say.
The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
The 18-year-old driver of the Jeep was not hurt.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
