Local police reported that the incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. when the victim’s motorcycle, traveling northbound on Newfield Avenue, struck a utility pole before slamming into an iron fence.
Exclusive video from the scene captured emotional moments of first responders working to save the woman and a bystander offering words of comfort as she was rushed away in critical condition.
Noting that the tragedy occurred during National Traffic Safety Month, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim urged the public to remain vigilant, obey traffic laws, and exercise extreme caution on the roads.
