Christians across the borough spent Christmas morning in the pews.
Worshippers say Christmas is a time for family, while preachers emphasize the holiday as a time to bring parishioners into the church.
"Some people are inspired to come to church,? says Father Peter Pomposello of Holy Cross Church in Soundview, ?Maybe they don't come every Sunday -- we're here every Sunday, come!"
