Two Spring Valley brothers were arraigned Monday morning in connection with an alleged attack on police officers last month in Rockland County.

Jose and Jason Batista were indicted on a slew of charges ranging from assaulting a police officer to resisting arrest. The charges stem from a Feb. 1 incident in which police responded to a domestic dispute call at a home on 2nd Street in Haverstraw.

That is when Jose Batista allegedly tried to get into the house of his ex-girlfriend and a fight ensued with authorities. The mother of the brothers has since claimed excessive force was used on her sons.

Both Batista brothers are being held in Rockland County Jail on $150,000 bail.
