A Pomona businessman has been arrested for allegedly stealing $50,000 from a 69-year-old Pearl River woman as part of a financial pyramid scheme.
Greg Brie, owner of the free information service company 1-866-I DON?T KNOW, is charged with second-degree grand larceny. Rockland County District Attorney Tom Zugibe says authorities have received even more complaints about Brie since his arrest Friday.
Brie?s Pomona neighbors say they?re surprised by his arrest because he is known for donating equipment such as smoke detectors and air conditioners to those in need.
