Candlelight vigil honoring DMX to be held in Mount Vernon on Wednesday

The candlelight vigil will take place April 14 at the 4th Street Park in Mount Vernon. It will run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The city of Mount Vernon and community partners will host a vigil to honor rapper DMX, who passed away on Friday.
The candlelight vigil will take place April 14 at the 4th Street Park in Mount Vernon. It will run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event is free and masks will be required.
DMX, whose real name was Earl Simmons, grew up in Yonkers. He died at White Plains Hospital after being put on life support following a heart attack.
