Care center employee arrested for abusing residents with disabilities

Officials say Garnet Collins, a 50-year-old employee at the Anderson Center for Autism in Staatsburg, has been charged with abusing two residents with disabilities.
Collins faces two counts of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and one count of forcible touching.
The New York State Police investigated the incidents and arrested Collins, who was arraigned at Hyde Park Town Court and released.
An order of protection was issued for both victims. Collins is set to return to court on September 26.
