Hundreds of cars continue to make their way through the holiday wonderland that one Dutchess County family has created.
The Gay family's holiday light setup this year has 687,000 lights - nearly 100,000 more than they had last year. The newest addition for 2021 is a reindeer light and four shooting stars. It's all choreographed to 250 different songs.
This year's light display set a new Guinness World Record for most lights in a Christmas display on residential property, breaking their own record, set last year.
The family first started putting up Christmas lights in the mid-90s with just 600 lights and it has grown tremendously.
People come from all over the Hudson Valley to get a peek at the light extravaganza.
"This is a wonderful night," says Erin Cafarelli, of Children's Home of Poughkeepsie. "The family spends countless hours putting this together and really does it with love in their hearts for children. And that's what we're about, and that's what they're about and we can't thank them enough."
The family also collects donations for the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie.
