New data from the CDC found the flu season hit especially
hard for children -- doubling the amount of deaths since last year.
The CDC now reports more than 100 pediatric deaths from
the flu.
Doctors
tell News 12 many factors played a part. One being last year's flu season was
milder, many were still wearing masks, and fewer people got their flu shot this
year.
Kids vaccinated against the flu are 68% less likely to
require hospitalization, according to the CDC.
