Ceremony held at Rockland County Court House to 'stand up to injustice' on Holocaust Remembrance Day

The theme of this year's event was "Standing up against injustice," a timely message amid rising hate at home.

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, also known as Yom Hashoah, a large crowd in gathered at the Rockland County Court House for an emotional ceremony.
Candles were lit in honor of the six million lives murdered by the Nazis, and copies of the U.S. Constitution were handed out to remind everyone how quickly freedoms can disappear without legal protection.
The theme of this year's event was "Standing Up Against Injustice," a timely message amid rising hate at home.
New data just released by the Anti-Defamation League found that New York led the nation last year in incidents of antisemitism, while also hitting a record high.
The event was organized by the Justice Brandeis Law Society and the Holocaust Museum Center for Tolerance and Education.
