Changes are on the horizon for trash pickup in Monroe.
Highway Superintendent James Patterson announced Monday that Marangi Disposal, the town's waste management provider, will no longer accept yard waste.
Consequently, items such as grass clippings will not be collected in the Town and Villages of Monroe and Harriman.
Patterson’s team is formulating a plan to enable residents to dispose of yard waste through the highway department.
An update on the plan is anticipated later this week
