There are new rules for catching striped bass in the Hudson River starting on Wednesday.
Striped bass caught north of the George Washington Bridge must be between 23 and 28 inches long to keep.
The season runs from April 1 to Nov. 30, with a one fish limit.
Officials say the new rules come after concerns about declining bass populations and feedback from anglers.
