Neighbors of a Pound Ridge man accused of sexual abuse and labor trafficking say they're shocked by the allegations.

Joseph Yannai, a 65-year-old author, is accused of luring women from other countries into his home and promising them work as his personal assistant. Authorities say he would then keep them against their will and force them to perform sexual favors.

"You hear about it in general, but you don't think it's that close to home," says one neighbor.

Yannai was released Monday night on $100,000 bail.
