The Chester town police officer critically injured in a crash during a high-speed chase has filed a lawsuit against the village police department.
Officer Robert Ferrara was seriously injured after a head-on collision during a high-speed chase in July. The lawsuit blames the Chester Village Police Department for not communicating clearly and thus causing the tragic accident.
After the claim is filed the village has 60 days to investigate and respond. Ferrara?s attorney says if nothing is settled after that they will go ahead with the lawsuit.
