This week marks the 50th anniversary of the unsolved murder of a Clarkstown teenager.
Lisa Thomas was just 15 years old when she was found fatally beaten Oct. 7 in a field not far from her Nanuet home in 1974.
The location is where Thomas led police to suspects wanted for stealing her father’s guns just days before the murder, according to the administrator of a Facebook page called “Justice for Lisa.”
News 12 interviewed the teen’s mother, Barbara Thomas, a decade ago for the 40th anniversary of her daughter's killing. She died in 2020 before ever seeing justice in the case. She wanted police to seek outside assistance to solve her daughter’s murder.
News 12 reached out to Clarkstown police for information but hasn’t heard back.
