Closing arguments heard at ex-cop's trial

Closing arguments were delivered Thursday in the trial of a former traffic officer accused of fatally shooting an unarmed driver two years ago.
Rafael Lora is facing a first-degree manslaughter charge in the death of Fermin Arzu, a Honduran immigrant who crashed his minivan into parked cars outside the officer's home in May 2007.
Defense attorney Stewart London said Lora never denied firing the shots at Arzu, or doing so intentionally, to avoid "a death trap created by Fermin Arzu."
The prosecutors, however, argued Arzu was in no condition to cause any physical harm to the officer.
If Lora is convicted of first-degree manslaughter, he could face 25 years behind bars.
