For tonight, expect clouds clear, mild and muggy with lows near 73.
Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's cool and cloudy with areas of patchy fog and drizzle this morning. A few showers move in after 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Temperatures are in the mid-60s.
  • Today will be warmer, humid with some afternoon sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.
  • Isolated showers and storms arrive this evening. Severe storms stay south of our area. A few downpours, rumble of thunder, lightning and gusty winds is expected to bring messy travel. The timing is after 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Tomorrow will be hot and very humid with highs near 90 degrees. Heat indices on Thursday will be between 92-98 degrees.
  • Our first severe threat of the season arrives tomorrow. A strong cold front will bring strong to severe scattered thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon and evening. The timing is after 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Downpours, damaging winds gusts, hail and tornado is possible. Stay tuned for updates.
  • The Summer Solstice officially begins on Friday at 10:42 p.m. Friday will be beautifully sunny, warm and less humid. Highs will be in the mid-80s.
  • Our rainy weekend streak might be coming to an end this weekend as we welcome the summer season. Saturday will be sunny, very warm and muggy. Sunday will feature more clouds with a chance of a stray shower. The chances are low, but still something worth watching. Highs are in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Stay tuned for updates!
  • There's a potential for an extended period of extreme heat and humidity early next week. Temperatures can reach the low to upper 90s on Sunday through Wednesday. Heat indices are in the 100s. Near record heat is possible. Stay tuned for updates!
