A Bridgeport family is calling for justice Monday, exactly five years after 36-year-old Sujata Lee Edwards was killed in front of her two children on William Street.

A Bridgeport family is renewing its call for justice on the five-year anniversary that 36-year-old Sujata Lee Edwards was killed in front of her two children on William Street.
They want Bridgeport police to keep the probe into the death of the young mother open and active.
Chief Roderick Porter is renewing the department's call for anyone who can help solve the fatal shooting to come forward.
"We're not getting the attention because we're not knocking on doors loudly enough -- so now we're ready to do that," said Sheraud Lee, Edwards’ younger brother.
News 12 reported that at least 10 shots were fired from outside of the home following a disturbance between people inside of the home and a group of people outside of it.
The victim's mother, Llesa O'Connor, said her daughter was shot in the torso while looking out from a second-floor window, watching her child get picked up by their father.
Edwards’ family said she died in the arms of her children.
They also believe it was a targeted shooting.
No arrests have been made.
Family members said Edwards lived at the home with her two teenage children and other family members, including the victim's 84-year-old grandmother.
