Childs died from his injures and the other victim was left with a gunshot wound to her arm.
Family members told News 12, Childs was just weeks away from graduating from Canarsie High School and add he was an avid football player, was known affectionately as a "ladies" man.
"He's been a big impact on other kids, on teachers, on coaches. He's been a huge impact," said Krystal Childs, Zanir's mother. "This is unfair. I need this kid to be found."
