The Connecticut Business and Industry Association released its recommendations for improving the state's economic future.
The CBIA "road map" calls for more childcare, better transportation and more workforce training.
"Our goal with the foundation and this plan is to chart a course for sustained economic growth," said CBIA president and CEO Chris DiPentima, "Growth that drives not only predictability, but greater opportunity for all residents."
Officials say that it's important to address what workers need to get to work and afford to live in the state.
CBIA says Connecticut ranks high in innovation but that Sunbelt states offer less regulatory red tape.
