Construction on the Route 1 bridge over the Mamaroneck River has officially been completed.

Officials say the $115 million project effectively rebuilt the 129-year-old stone arch bridge from the ground up.

The new span includes new pedestrian walkways, traffic signals, and support structures that can better withstand flooding and other severe weather impacts.
