Police are canvassing Middletown in search of a duo that threatened a college student at knifepoint in his car Sunday.
Police say the 19-year-old SUNY Orange student was parked at a stop sign at Cobb Lane and Webb Road around 8 p.m. with his doors unlocked. A man held a knife at the student's neck while another man jumped in the vehicle, according to investigators.
The men made the victim drive about two miles before they dragged him out of his car, assaulted him and took his cell phone, wallet and car keys.
The duo did not take the victim's car. Police believe the incident was random.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the crime to call the Middletown Police Department at 845-343-3151.
