Coronavirus cases surge across NY and Mid-Hudson region

Coronavirus cases continue to surge across the nation, New York, and in the Mid-Hudson region.
The positivity rate across the state has hit over 5.7%. Total hospitalizations in New York are now over 4,800. Sadly, 74 New Yorkers died from the virus.  Gov. Andrew Cuomo will be holding a press conference this morning with new information on the pandemic response and an announcement. You can watch it live on News 12 around 11:30 a.m.
Over 1,200 new cases have been reported across the Mid-Hudson region. Here is a breakdown of new cases by county:
  • Westchester: 610
  • Orange: 185 
  • Rockland: 175
  • Dutchess: 147
  • Ulster: 77
  • Putnam: 60
  • Sullivan: 11
